New sizes for the miniature ball screws

21 sizes with screw shaft diameters up to 16 mm standardized in anticipation of increasing demand

With an expected steady increase in demand for chip manufacturing equipment and components for manufacturing pick-and-place machines and medical devices, THK is expanding its standard range of miniature ball screws.

In general, ball screws with a screw shaft diameter of less than 16 mm are referred to as miniature ball screws.

To meet the needs of its customers THK has added five screw shaft diameters (6, 8, 10, 12, and 14mm) with nine different pitches (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 10 mm) to its miniature ball screw range. This creates 21 new standard combinations of screw shaft diameter and pitch.
